Standing Seam Metal Roofing in Phoenix

Standing seam is the metal roof we recommend for Phoenix, and the one we build our metal work around. The panels lock together over concealed clips, so there are no exposed screws to bake in the sun, back out, and leak. We form the panels ourselves and install them with our own crews.

Why standing seam beats exposed fasteners in Arizona

An exposed-fastener metal roof puts thousands of gasketed screws directly in the Arizona sun. Heat cycling swells and shrinks the panels every day, and over the years that movement works screws loose and dries out their gaskets, and every one is a potential leak. Standing seam panels attach with concealed clips that let the metal float as it expands and contracts. Nothing penetrates the panel face, so the usual failure mode simply is not there. It costs more up front and it is worth it here, which is why standing seam is what we focus on.

Formed to your roof, not a catalog

We fabricate standing seam panels and matching trim on our own brakes, in the shop and on a mobile brake at the job site. Panels get formed to your actual measured lengths, which means fewer laps, cleaner lines, and no waiting on a supplier's schedule. Flashing, ridge, valley, and fascia details all come off the same equipment, so everything on the roof matches.

  • Panels run to exact length, eave to ridge, no horizontal laps on most homes
  • Trim, flashing, and fascia formed in-house to match
  • Color and gauge options walked through in person with real samples
  • Installed by our own crews, not subbed out

What it looks like on a Phoenix home

Standing seam reads clean and architectural: long straight vertical lines, crisp ridges, no visible screws. It suits contemporary builds, ranch homes, and desert architecture alike, and it pairs well with partial applications too. Porch roofs, patio covers, and accent sections are a common way Phoenix homeowners bring metal onto an existing tile or shingle home.

FAQ

Standing Seam FAQs

How much more does standing seam cost than shingles?

More up front, but it typically outlasts two or three shingle roofs and takes far less maintenance in our climate. We give a firm written price after measuring, so you can compare honestly.

Can you put standing seam on just part of my roof?

Yes. Porch roofs, patio covers, and low-slope sections are common partial applications, and we form those panels the same way we do full roofs.

What colors and finishes are available?

A wide range of factory finishes, including high-reflectivity colors that help with heat. We bring physical samples to the estimate so you see the color in your own light.

Is standing seam loud in rain?

No louder than any other roof. Over solid decking and underlayment, monsoon rain on standing seam sounds about the same as it does on tile or shingle.
