Tile Roofing Built for the Phoenix Heat
Tile roofing is the dominant roof system in Phoenix, and it is what we have built our reputation on since 1999. Pinnacle Roofing installs, replaces, resets, and repairs clay and concrete tile across the Valley as a licensed, bonded, and insured Arizona contractor (ROC #161685). Tile handles the desert better than almost any other material, but the underlayment beneath it does not last forever, and that is where most tile roofs actually fail. Whatever stage your roof is at, we will tell you plainly what it needs and what it does not.

Our Residential Tile Roofing Services
We handle the full life cycle of a Phoenix tile roof. Each service below has its own page with details on scope, process, and what to expect.
- New tile roof installation: clay or concrete tile systems with premium underlayment, battens, and flashing for new builds and material conversions.
- Tile roof replacement: full tear-off, deck inspection, new underlayment, and a brand new tile system.
- Tile roof remove and reset (R&R): we reuse your existing tile and replace the failed underlayment and flashing beneath it.
- Tile roof repairs: cracked or slipped tiles, leaks, flashing failures, and localized underlayment work.
Why Tile Works in the Valley
Living in Phoenix means scorching sun, monsoon storms, and dust. Tile shrugs off UV that destroys other materials, insulates against triple-digit heat, and carries a Class A fire rating. Concrete and clay tiles can last 50 or more years with proper care, which is why most Valley neighborhoods are covered in them.
The Underlayment Is the Real Roof
The tile you see is armor. The waterproofing is the underlayment underneath, and in Arizona heat it dries out and cracks decades before the tile wears out. When a tile roof leaks, the underlayment is almost always the culprit. That is why our remove and reset service exists: keep the tile, renew the waterproofing, and skip the cost of all-new material.

FAQ
Tile Roofing FAQs
Should I do a full replacement or a remove and reset?
If your tile is in good shape but the underlayment is failing, a remove and reset (R&R) is usually the smarter, lower-cost option. If tiles are brittle or broken across large areas, replacement makes more sense. We inspect and advise you honestly either way.
How long does it take to replace a tile roof?
Most residential tile roof replacements take four to seven days, depending on roof size and weather.
Are tile roofs HOA-approved?
Yes. Tile is the standard in most Valley HOA communities. We work within HOA guidelines and can help with the required documentation.
How long does tile last in Phoenix?
Concrete and clay tile can last 50 or more years here. The underlayment beneath it typically fails after 20 to 25 years of Arizona heat, which is why maintenance and timely R&R matter.
